Yes, we looked pretty good in the morning.

Someone blew up the raft! Too much air + too much sun = BANG!

98062603 [21K]
We remedied that with a new raft so we could get our feet wet.

Enjoying the scenery and the ride (well, most of it).

Except Rob, who has to keep us on the not-so-straight and narrow.

And he gets to make a picture of the entire crew.

This is what it looks like when you're too busy to take pictures. Whitewater Photography has two photographers on the shore to get shots like these. 8x10 prints are $16 each or 3 for $40. You can also purchase a video that includes all the rafts who went down the river with you.

The old swimming hole was never this cold or this fast.

Rob towed the raft over to the large, flat rock in midstream so the swimmers can get back in the boat somewhat more gracefully than by being dragged in by the life vest.

The brick building is the powerhouse (where the electric generators are). When the Ocoee River isn't being used for recreation (after dark), it's used to generate electricity.

End of the ride, everybody grab your paddle and get back on the bus.

The really good part - suppertime and a rocking chair.

Did somebody say "Go back to work?"

The candid pictures were taken with a single-use waterproof camera. If you run the upper strap of your life jacket through the strap on the camera, the camera will always be available when you have a free hand - which is only on the flatwater parts of the river ;-)
